Big Think was in need of a redesign that not only pushed its excellent video interview content front and center, but also allowed for other types of "expert" content, such as blogs and a list of daily news links. In just 4 months, working with a small editorial and backend development team, Big Think became clear and navigable, and in a better position to promote itself. The redesigned site harkens back to print journalism — bold headlines, black on white, clear text, no extraneous visual frivolities — to communicate Big Think's goal of bringing editorial curation to the web, where it is sorely needed.
