Merry Christmas and clock

So my New Years resolution is to be better about posting things here. I’m going to blame the format of this blog, even though that’s a poor excuse. I designed it for writing longer, focused pieces, but it makes a lot more sense to just have somewhere to dump interesting things I come up with too. Basically I need something flexible enough to accomodate both. I hope to rework it in the next week or so while I’m on break.

I designed a clock for my grandparents to put above the stove in their kitchen.

I was thinking since it’s a kichen clock the focus should be on lunch and dinner times. The reason I decided to make them one in the first place was because there was a lack of easy to read clocks in their house. The one in the kitchen didn’t work and they didn’t want to get a new one up there that’s heavy because they were afraid it would break the glass stovetop if it fell. Hence the one I made is just a simple foamcore face with hands from a disemboweled cheap clock from Target. As for the colors, their wallpaper is this off-white with a small pink and mint green flower pattern. I had no idea what to do with that, so I thought I’d try and match their wood floor.
